Everyday Valentine

"Oh, if it be to choose and call thee mine, love, thou art every day my Valentine!" 

Today is Valentines Day 2011 and today I spend it without my husband for the second year in a row and you would think that I would be so emotional today because of that but in all honesty I am not. And not for any negative reason, no, but because even though Valentines Day is a fun and sweet holiday, it is not one that me and Zak NEED to spend together to show how much we love and care for one another. We express our love for each other every single day, no exagaration there at all. The way we act with one another whether we are in person or half a world apart you would think we were still in our "New Love" phase of our relationship. I absolutely love that. When we got married I even said to him, "I never want to lose that 'New Love' type of feeling...I want to grow together and get so comfortable but I always want to have the butterflies" and that is exactly what we have done, we have kept the New Love alive and it makes everyday feel like every other persons Valentines Day. Yes, as any couple we have our ups and downs but no matter if it is an up day or a down day we never, ever stop showing each other how much we care and love and how thankful we are and happy we are. My husband is truly my Everyday Valentine.

But since he cannot be here, today Grayson is stepping in to be my "date" where we will play with lots of toys, sing lots of songs, read lots of books, play outside and snuggle up before bedtime.  :)

I miss you so very much baby, thank you for making me feel special every single day and not just because it is a holiday :) You are amazing.
