Ghandi once said,
"Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it's important that you do it, because no one else will".
I dont know if it is just me and things that have occured in my life directly, or indirectly-directly meaning that happened to friends or family, but I really got attached to this movie and fell in love with all of the characters and the whole story line in general.
I am, as we speak, watching it again because it touched me so much. This movie was promoted pretty well, but I do not think the preview promotions did it enough justice because I do not remember thinking the movie would be anything like it was when I originally saw the preview months back. From the promotion picture it may look like it is going to be a chick flick -which is what I thought at first- but I assure you it is not. So for the guys reading this, I even promise you, I am not tricking you into watching a chick flick.
I love movies, and I usually have a lot of good things to say about movies I watch, but it has been awhile since I have really wanted to get everyone I know in a room and force them to watch this movie no matter what the turn out of their thoughts on it might be.
But I have to say I am so glad that I decided to rent it. And I suggest you do as well. I did warn you, that it is a bit sad but you will not regret it.
The trailer or description below do not do this movie justice -but I will say, I am so glad they left everything that they did out of the trailer and the description and make you go into the movie thinking it is going to be something that it isnt, because it just makes it that much better.
"In the romantic drama Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family. Tyler didn't think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through until the day he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her. Through their love, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life. Soon, hidden secrets are revealed, tragedy lingers in the air, as the circumstances that brought them together threaten to tear them apart. Set in the summer of 2001, Remember Me is a story about the power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of living passionately and treasuring every day of one's life."
Hi Emily,
ReplyDeleteI saw this movie and I too loved it. The end was totally unexpected. I kept wondering why it was called remember me and the ending pretty well answered that question. I think he is so handsome and I always love to see Chris Cooper play (her Dad). This is remininistic of "A Walk to Remember" which was a great movie.
